Game of the Week Preview: Chiefs at Panthers
- Updated: July 23, 2014

CT Chiefs (1-0) AT CT Panthers (0-1)
Falcon Field, Meriden, CT-6pm Kickoff
Week Two | Chiefs | Panthers
|
Players To Watch | Dino Mancinelli led the NEFL in touchdown passes last season while throwing only 2 interceptions during the regular season. |
Dustin Lindon is the Panthers All-Time leader in sacks and tackles for losses. |
Keys To Victory | The Chiefs have to utilize their overall team depth to offset the Panthers experience. |
Panther’s defenders must make Mancinelli uncomfortable in the pocket to have success. |
The Skinny | Coming off of a last second loss to the Militia in the season opener, the Panthers must rebound very quickly against the talented Chiefs. With little success on the ground last week, expect the Panthers to focus on their running game and make more plays on special teams.
The Chiefs have been impressive throughout the preseason and in their opener against the Warriors. Watch this confident group look to come out aggressively against a Panthers team that could be coming off of a “Championship hangover”. Both teams play great defense, make big plays on offense, and have stellar kick returners. A Chiefs win could establish this young team as a true contender. The defending National Champion Panthers are still reeling from last week’s defeat and are looking to avoid a 0-2 start. Mancinelli struggled against the Panthers defense (0-2 vs Panthers in 2013) last season. See what adjustments they make against the league’s top defense. A 3TD performance by Panthers Rich Snowden gave them offense they didn’t have last season. See if he can keep his resurgence alive. Week two’s Game of the Week should not disappoint. |
