Game of the Week – Panthers at Bandits

Connecticut Panthers (5-1) at Boston Bandits (6-0)
English High School – Jamaica Plain, Ma – Kickoff 7pm

Week Eight Panthers Bandits

Players To Watch Shante Wynn has established himself as one of the top defenders in the league. Last week against the Knights Wynn returned two interceptions for scores in their 34-9 win.

Adam Headley heads the Bandits offense. The Pace University product has completed over 65% of his passes this season and is second in the division in touchdown passes.
Keys To Victory In their furthest road trip of the season, the Panthers must establish their aggressive play early if they plan on ending the Bandits winning streak.

Only allowing 50 points in 6 games (8.3 per game), the Bandits defense must contain quarterback Rich Snowden and his squad of receivers.
The Skinny North meets South in this potential NEFL Championship game. The Bandits and the Panthers both boast a dominate defense and impressive special team units. The key will be which team’s offense can be the most consistent.

Veteran JD Brooks is still very productive and balances Coach Bustin’s offense attack. Daryl Sweat and Fitz Lee are Headley’s favorite targets while their offensive line hosts potently two All-League performers.

Overshawded by defensive players like David Reese and Tylee Flowers, Rich Snowden is having one of his best years ever. His league high 12 scoring passes is nearly twice as many as anyone in his division. His six straight games with at least one touchdown pass is nearing a NEFL record.

Expect to see two teams flying all over the field Saturday night in Boston. “They play like us” said Panthers Court Sutherland, “they are a Southern Division team playing in the North.” The undefeated Bandits feel that this may be their season to do something special. “Each game is very important to us” said Headley, “however we were looking forward to getting on the field against the defending champs”.

This GAME OF THE WEEK expects to be one to remember.
