Record Night for Flythe

SPRINGFIELD, MA – In this week’s NEFL Game Of The Week, the Armor, headed by Aaron Flythe collected over 400 yards of offense in their 36-22 victory over the Somerville Rampage.
Flythe threw for over 270 yards and a career high six touchdown passes in the matchup. “We had everything working Saturday night” said Flythe, “the offensive line was blocking well and the run game was working; when that’s happens we can put together a night like this”. Four of Flythe’s touchdown passes went to receiver Evan Graham. Another went to Kayshawn Brantley and the final to recently acquired Darius Ranney. “We have a lot of talent at receiver; when they get one on one coverage they are tough to stay with.”
The Rampage showed that they were a legitimate AAA competitor as they battled throughout the evening. Quarterback Giovanni Sanders paced the team both on the ground (55 yards) and in the air (210 yards). “They are a very good team that is getting better each week” said an Armor player, “(they) just have to keep playing together.”
The win gives the Armor a 2-1 record heading into their week four matchup with the Merrimack Valley Nor’easter (2-0). “We need to keep this rolling” said Armor owner Ben Toro, “it gets no easier next week against the Nor’easter.” The parity in this season’s Colonial Conference makes every week a potential playoff matchup.
The Rampage (0-3) will travel to Lynn, MA to take on the North Shore Generals. The Generals (1-2) knocked off the then undefeated New Hampshire Charge 23-21. “There are so many good teams in this league” said Sanders, “you never get a week off here.”
