The Game of the Week for August 2nd & 3rd – New Hampshire Wolfpack vs. Southern Maine Raging Bulls
Andre Williams (11) is a do-everything back for New Hampshire
GAME OF THE WEEK
NH Wolfpack (2-0) AT So. Maine Raging Bulls (2-0)
Memorial Stadium, Portland ME.-7pm Kickoff
Week Three | Wolfpack | Raging Bulls |
Players To Watch | Andre Williams is the all-purpose back the Wolfpack feels can get them over the top. |
Addition of former Sabers Jon Wiechman has given the Bulls arguably the best backfield in the NEFL. |
Keys To Victory | The Wolfpack must use their multi-faceted offense to keep the Bulls defense off balance. | By establishing their running attack, the play action passing game by Alexis Colon can be very effective. |
The Skinny | The Wolfpack will utilize both pocket passer Jim Sanford and speedy Junior Brown at quarterback against the Bulls. Receivers like Nate Gooden and former Maine Saber Chris Libby benefit from the wide-open attack headed by coordinator Jim Harmon.
The Bulls have upgraded their team at nearly every position. Pairing Wiechman up with future Hall of Famer Phil Warren gives the Bulls a great 1-2 punch to go along with receivers Josh DiBatista and the play making Mark Roberts. Both teams have recruited well in the offseason and held on to key players in hopes to make a run at the 21st NEFL Championship. This divisional match up will show the league who may be a contender in October. We are all anxious to see. |
