GAME OF THE WEEK
Western Mass Warriors (1-0) AT CT Panthers (1-0)
Falcon Field, Meriden, CT-7:15pm Kickoff
Week Two |
Warriors |
Panthers |
Players To Watch |
Derrick Hatwood was the MVP of the Warriors National Championship title game. |
With a stronger offensive supporting cast, do-everything Jamie Bryant is even more effective. |
Keys To Victory |
Protecting quarterback Chris Boarders from the Panthers front line will give him time to connect to a very talented receiving corps. |
A balanced Panther offensive attack could keep the Warriors defense guessing all night.
|
The Skinny |
Both teams looked dominate in their season opening win with the Warriors scoring 40 points against the Gamblers and quarterback Rich Snowden throwing three TD passes against the Whalers.
The defending NEFL and National Champion Warriors swept the Panthers in all three contests last season. Key players from that team have been replaced but the Warriors confidence in big games is still there. The Panthers have spent the offseason reloading on both sides of the ball. The acquisition of Snowden on offense and David Reese on defense could help them take the necessary steps to be a NEFL Champion. |
