PORTLAND, ME- The Raging Bulls used 269 rushing yards to dismantle their division foe, New Hampshire Wolfpack 42-7 in the NEFL Game of the Week.

“We play to what the defense gives us” said Bulls Coach Bates, “we saw that we could run the ball on their front so we went after it”. Opening the game with a combination of Phil Warren and John Wiechman on the ground, Alexis Colon finds an open Mark Roberts for a 14 yard scoring catch. In the second quarter, the 265 pound Warren’s two yard blast puts the Bulls up 14-0 heading into the half.

In the third quarter the Bulls offensive line started to wear on the Wolfpack front four. Warren showed his speed with a 25 yard bolt to the end zone for his second score of the day. Later in the third quarter Colon connects with Brandon Bennett for a 23 yard scoring pass giving the Bulls a 28-0 lead. “We were rolling offensively, “said Colon, our running game sets up our passing game, both were working tonight”.

Keeping the ball on the ground, Bennett’s 65 yard and 24 yard touchdown runs in the fourth quarter broke the spirits of the Wolfpack. A late touchdown pass from quarterback Junior Brown was the only bright spot for New Hampshire as the game clock expired.

“We feel good about this team” said Bates, “we know we have a lot of work to do but a good start like this helps”. The Bulls will have a bye this weekend while the Wolfpack will host the Metrowest Colonials.
