CFL Looking For Talent In CT
- Updated: April 30, 2019

Middletown, CT – “I’ve been around minor league football all my life. I know there is pro talent among the teams in the NEFL,” said current Canadian Football League veteran Jovan Santos-Knox (pictured above). He, along with administration and the scouting department from the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be conducting a free-agent camp on May 5th at Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut.
“I grew up watching the Middletown (CT) Spartans play for years in my hometown,” said Knox. “Then I went to every practice and game of the Connecticut Bearcats. I know there are guys out here that need an opportunity to show their skills.” Knox’s father, Byron, was the owner of the two-time NEFL AAA Champion Bearcats. “We had guys that were both on our roster and that we played against that you wondered why they were not at the next level. This could give them the chance they are looking for.”
