Brawlers & Panthers win National Titles

The 2014 Maritime Conference (A) champions, Brass City Brawlers, and the 2014 Colonial Conference (AAA) champs, Connecticut Panthers, traveled to Deland, Florida and won national championship games on Saturday, January 17.
The Brawlers defeated the Michigan Lightning of the Cross Roads Football League in the Orange Blossom Bowl for USFA AA Championship 34-28 in overtime. The Lightning, from Dearborn, Michigan, finished the season with an overall record of 12-3. They won their league’s championship by defeating the Ohio Crush 14-7 on September 20.
The Panthers defeated the Inglewood Blackhawks of the LaBelle Community Football League in the North American Bowl for the USFA AAA National Championship 32-15. The Blackhawks, from Inglewood, California, have an overall record of 16-0, and have won their league’s championship for the last five seasons. They defeated Southern California Coyotes 30-20 to win their league’s championship on December 6.
