AAA Game of the Week Preview: Nor'Easter at Colonials
- Updated: August 15, 2013

Lowell Nor'Easter (2-2) @ Metro West Colonial (1-3)
Week Five |
Nor'Easter |
Colonial |
Players To Watch |
Chris Degree leads the division in receiving touchdowns and is the big play guy Lowell needs this week. |
Quarterback Nick Ferrera's ability to make key throws and big plays in the fourth quarter could lead the Colonials to a huge home victory. |
Game Keys |
The Nor'Easter will look to establish their running game and look to connect with Degree downfield for large gains. |
The Colonials aggressive defensive line will look to control Lowell's running game and keep constant pressure on quarterback Clarzell Pearl. |
The Skinny |
Both teams realize that a win this weekend could assist them with making a push into the playoffs this year.
A preseason loss to the Militia and the week one defeat to the Sabers gave some the idea that Lowell was in a stage of rebuilding. Winning their last two games has shown the league that the Nor'Easter is a dangerous team heading into midseason.
The Colonials record (1-3) is a result of inconsistent offense and a tough early schedule. Their 18-14 loss to then undefeated Boston shows the clear potential this team has. A win this weekend could set the team in the direction it needs.
Expect a defensive battle between two teams with the playoffs clear in their sight. The fourth quarter may be when this game will clearly be decided. |
