2014 Colonial Conference Playoffs

The quest to obtain (or keep) the Leo Lombardi Trophy begins…

The seeding has been finalized and the bracket is set for the 2014 Colonial Conference (AAA) playoffs. This year the teams that finished fourth and fifth in their sub-conference will meet in a play-in game. The winners of those games will take on the #1 seeds the following weekend. The first of the two play-in games will take place on Saturday, October 11, when the Lowell Nor’easter travel to Wayland High School to play the Metrowest Colonials. The second game will feature the Connecticut Chiefs hosting the Western Mass Warriors on the weekend of October 18th and 19th. The playoffs are slightly offset due to a make up game but they will be back on the same track for the semifinals on the weekend of November 1st and 2nd.

The top three teams in each sub-division will have their first playoff game in the Divisional Round. In the South/West sub-conference, the defending champion and #1 seed Connecticut Panthers will play the winner of the Warriors/Chiefs play-in game. The Pioneer Valley Knights will travel to Danbury, Connecticut to play the Western Connecticut Militia. In the North/East sub-conference, the undefeated Southern Maine Raging Bulls, seeded #1, will play the winner of the Nor’easter/Colonials play-in game, while the Boston Bandits will host the New Hampshire Wolfpack.
